Tiffany, my manicurist, said that the salon business was slow this week, just like the rest of the mall. Bombay (Furniture) Company is out of business and the jewelry store across from her shop is closing. I told Tiffany about my no-buy experiment. We picked out a nail color that would grow out nicely while I’m away from her services. I told her I’ll be back at the salon in March, but if I’m like all the other consumers, I’m not so confident that I can return.
