CeeCee-Tito as a Las Vegas lounge lizard? *shudders* And I agree with you: only lend the amount you can afford to lose. If a person has trouble paying bills, how will they be able to afford paying you back?

I feel sorry for Tito (Jermaine, Jackie, Marlon and Randy too), they all seem ill-equipped for a life outside of fame. And let’s face it, attaining superstardom again is not very likely (although you never know with Vegas). But although the Jackson brothers have my sympathy, I don’t think I could lend them my hard-earned cash (or anyone else who showed no gainful means of employment). There are exceptions, of course, but if I do lend money I only lend an amount that I can afford to lose (and in this economy that isn’t much).

I’d never loan more than I could afford to lose – just like gambling. As a matter of fact, it IS gambling. The craziest thing about loaning money is when people get an attitude when you ask for YOUR money!
Now, what fool loaned Tito money and expected to get it back?

Wow Tito get it together bro.
I have never asked anyone for a loan. If I can’t afford something, then I can’t afford it and that’s that. Yes I have loaned money and I got it back the same week, I have not been asked by anyone else. If you loan money, make sure it is an amount that you can part with just in case you never get it back.

GLM-OK, this loaning money business must stop. You are a good friend, but your crew is being straight disrespectful. I went on a tirade over $25 once. I got my money, though. I try not to lend any money. I just give it away if I have it to give away. Folks never want to pay you back, and I hate being a bill collector.

I don’t know about friends, but definitely don’t lend family money. They will NOT pay you back and have been generally ungrateful in my experience. Don’t do it, don’t do it, don’t do it! No one benefits and everyone suffers.

Absolutely, Tito is a cool name. But it never pays to loan a friend money. I have a friend who owes me $1,000 and refuses to talk about it other than screaming, and one friend who “owes” me about $800.
For the second friend, it really was a case of need, and I’m not exactly expecting all of my money back. I don’t loan friends money anymore without a written note, or I just give them the money, if I feel it’s justified.
It’s not worth ruining a friendship over, so don’t loan money that you can’t say “I’ll never get this back” to!!
