NBA to cut staff by 9 percent

The NBA will cut 80 jobs in the United States, a rarity for an American sports league. The league is blaming the lay offs on the economic turmoil in the world. Commissioner David Stern told the Associated Press that sports tickets are paid with disposable income and thinks that the NBA will be down in attendance in the United States.

Meh. Not a fan of the layoffs. Not a fan.

Which NBA team is your favorite?  I say, "GO HEAT!"  Do you think that the NBA should be cutting staff? Do you think the NBA’s payroll is too big anyway? Should it cut Shaq’s pay to help save jobs?
