The Frugalista in the Philadelphia Inquirer

Yippee!! Philadelphia Inquirer fashion writer Elizabeth Wellington interviewed me for an article on "the istas." There is a whole crew of us (fashionistas, stylistas, urbanistas, frugalistas) and Elizabeth explores the meaning of "the ista." I say it means "bad chick." Teehee. Anyway, please read the article. I’m super happy with it.

Are you an ista? Of course you are frugalistas/frugalistos. But what are your other talents? I know we have foodistas. I need some cooking help! Share with me!

“ista” All food all the time. I’ll send along my basic red sauce recipe. I know you do spaghetti, but this is a sauce for other things like chicken or pork. I’ll tell what I’m hopeless at: shoes. I just give up and do plain pumps. Except those red snake skin 3″ hells I got married in. LOL!

Way to go, Natalie! I think that it’s important to know when you have to take yourself seriously and when you just need to relax and be silly.
Like the BeauSoleil says, “Travailler, c’est trop dur, et voler, c’est pas beau” Work’s to hard, and stealing’s no good!

Lou-Up with recipes. And red snakes skin heels at your wedding? Oh my!
GLM-Yay, I learned French!
Money-I need to work on my blog manners, right? And, you don’t want my autograph. I’ll take yours on a fat check written to me, though. heheh
Coco-I believe you. I really do.
Fiona-Bad meaning good, not bad meaning bad. Cool chick is clearer, though. ;)
Tiffany-Welcome to the ISTAS!

Nat, you’re a super star!!
I usually call myself a “foodie” when talking about my love of food. But when cooking it, I’ll go with “Foodista” cause I’m bad in the kitchen. Lol!
