Yippee! Today and tomorrow, and then it's a wrap! I love No-Buy Month. Really, it's my thing. HOWEVER! Is it a crime to get a professional blow out? Is it a crime? I think not! Sorry, but my hair has had a bit of an attitude this week, and I want someone to whip it into shape for me! I digress.
I'm proud of everyone for joining in. Please remember to check me out at 9:15 a.m on Saturday on CNN. You get to see me in my natural habitat! I can't wait.
xoxo,
Fruggie

Please check out the show! Betty and the rest of the crew are awesome! I'm sure you will see that during the footage!
What time do you wake up on Saturdays?
I had the pleasure ths month to check out an African art exhibit "Power Revealed" at Nova Southeastern University, near Fort Lauderdale.
On, March 2 and March 16 from 2 to 3 p.m., you can get free guided tours. I took one and was transported to another place and time. If you can't make it for a guided tour, just just walk in and learn something…FOR FREE!
For more information about the Power Revealed art exhibition, call (954) 262-5309.

Dealtaker.com has some discounts on TurboTax. You can file your federal taxes for free through the IRS website,
Also, Miami offers free tax preparation for residents. The taxes are prepared by volunteers and IRS representatives and it’s like going to an accountant, except for free! While at the site, individuals can apply for a free cell phone service and other benefits through the Benefit Bank- of course some restrictions apply such as income level, but it is worth a try. There are two “Super Sites” at Manuel Artime Theater, 900 S.W. 1st Street, 4th floor and Corpus Christi 3220 NW 7th Ave. The hours are Monday through -Thursday, 6-8 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., plus the 13 Miami’s Neighborhood Enhancement Team (NET) offices, regular business hours, Monday through Friday 9:a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents may call 311 to find the nearest office. Bring your 2008 income tax, original social security card and a current id.
I filed my taxes during No-Buy Month to kill some time. I am SO glad to have that out of the way. The old Natalie would have waited until April 15th to think about her taxes. Yay for financial responsibility!
Do you go to an accountant? Do you use a business like H&R Block? Do you file online with TurboTax or the government? Do you itemize?

Uber-blogger Perez Hilton has dubbed Beyonce a frugalista. I have to agree. She's been a frugalista for a while. Her mother makes her clothes and used to do her hair. Most of the people who were instrumental in building her career were family members like her father and cousin, so I know they didn't charge top dollar. Also, when the extra members of Destiny's Child became too expensive, she cut them out of the group! hehehe. I kid. I kid.
This is what Beyonce says in an interview with the U.K. Mirror
"Honestly, I’m very frugal. I haven’t bought a car since I was 16 or any diamonds since I was 17," she said.
"I have a lot of property. I’ve invested my money and I don’t have to make any more, thank God, because I’m set. I’m now able really to be free and just do things that make me happy."
I'm a big Beyonce fan. I love her work ethic and her mental will. I saw her in concert and she was sheer perfection. There's nothing wrong with being a hard working sister! Now, I'm not saying that I will start prancing in onesies or wearing a blond pony tail. I'm just saying she makes the right moves!.
I think Perez is secretly a fan of my blog. He's from Miami and he likes the way Frugalista rolls off the tongue!
Do you believe Beyonce is a frugalista? Can you do the single ladies dance? I tried, but I couldn't work it like this guy.
Don't forget to check me out on CNN at 9:15 a.m. est this Saturday. Thanks to Ms. Katy Fierce for the tip!

Hello Everyone! Today is my birthday! Yay! I'm so excited! I'm spending it with the crew from CNN. Betty Nguyen is in town to check in on how I'm doing with No-Buy Month! Yikes. It's like having your family come to town to check on how you are living.
We are in the final week of No-Buy Month so we should be overjoyed! I know it's been tough. If you have any Christmas gift cards that you haven't used, I say hit the stores and have fun. It's legal during No-Buy Month. You aren't spending your own money!
So, if you want to see how I am handling No-Buy Month while celebrating my day of birth, please check out CNN this weekend. I will be on at 9: 15 a.m., eastern standard time.
Also, if you want free pancakes, IHOP is giving away pancakes on Tuesday. However, there's a catch. IHOP is strongly suggesting that you donate to one of their favorite charities. Donating to a charity is FRUGALISTA APPROVED.
Thank you so much for reading my blog and celebrating my birthday with me. This is a birthday to remember.
Love,
Fruggie
P.S. Thanks Marquette, Jamie and Paradise A. for the pancake tip!
