Affordable rum drink recipes

Last weekend, I went to the Rum Renaissance Festival down here on Miami Beach. I used to drink rum a little more, but I switched to wine once I found some affordable wines for under $10. However, I picked up some recipes at the festival for mixed rum drinks, and I think I can now make a good bottle of rum last longer! The next time I have friends over, I'll make mixed drinks. Quite honestly, I don't think I'll be bringing a bottle of rum to your party, though.I have to reserve it for my VIP friends! LOL
Here are some *more affordable* rum drink recipes:
Tommy Classic Daiquiri
2 parts Tommy Bahama White Sand Rum
1 part freshly squeezed lime juice
½ part simple syrup
Shake ingredients with crushed ice in a cocktail shaker. Serve straight up in a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.
Tommy-Tini
Tommy Bahama White Sand Rum
Lime Twist
Pour Tommy Bahama White Sand Rum into a shaker with ice. Shake sharply. Strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a twist of lime.
Golden Sun Cuba Libre
1 ¾ parts Tommy Bahama Golden Sun Rum
The juice of 1 lime
Cola
Pour the lime juice and Tommy Bahama Golden Sun Rum into a highball glass filled with ice. Fill glass with cola. Garnish with a wedge of lime.
Tommy Bahama Paradise Punch
2 parts Tommy Bahama Golden Sun Rum
1 part pineapple juice
Splash or orange juice
Mix ingredients in a shaker with ice. Pour into a rocks glass. Garnish with an orange wedge.
What's your favorite mixed drink? Do you like rum? What country makes the best rum? Barbados? Virgin Islands? Puerto Rico?

My all time favorite rum drink is dark rum in OJ with a slice of lime. It’s a Sandbar; have a few toomany and you’ll feel as if your boat hit a sandbar.
Right now, my rum drink of choice is Coke Zero Vanilla with dark rum. The vanilla isn’t overwhelming and adds a nice note to the rum.
Gotta luv an original dark and stormy – Goslings (if you can get it) or bacardy dark/appleton is great and ginger beer!!
