Hello, Frugalistas! My friend Ananda Leeke reminded me recently that October was National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. At The Frugalista Files, I like to have a little fun and inform, but it's time to step it up.
So this month, I'll also be posting information, events and fundraisers going on about breast cancer. I will still post financial news. It may result in more than one post per day, but it's for a good cause.
Here's a release I got from The Fontainebleau hotel. They are fighting the good fight against the disease by partnering with Susan G. Komen for the Cure:
Fontainebleau’s signature restaurants, Gotham Steak, Hakkasan, Scarpetta and Blade Sushi Lounge will each offer a special $39.00 three-course prix-fixe menu (excluding tax and gratuity) for the month of October. A $1.50 from each menu cover will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. All diners who enjoy the special Susan G. Komen menus will be given an appreciation card at the end of the meal to redeem at Solo patisserie for a complimentary sweet pink confection and a chance to win Solo’s special display of pink sweets & treats.
In addition, Fontainebleau has created the Pinkie Promise cocktail, made with Ketel One Citroen, fresh raspberries, lemon sour, pomegranate syrup, cane nectar & lime, available at all of the hotel’s bars and lounges for the month of October. Fontainebleau will donate $1.00 per sale of the drink to benefit the fight against breast cancer.
Lapis, The Spa at Fontainebleau is offering their signature 50 minute Swedish and Aromatherapy massages at a 25% discount for the month of October ($105+taxes and gratuities), to reward and reinforce a healthy lifestyle and well-being. For information about Lapis spa and additional special offers visit,<a www.fontainebleau.com.
