I'm always up for a bargain on real flowers but I can also say the story above did work for me. I was looking to cut my spending earlier this year. I actually shopped at Floral & Hearty and was in shock when I kept reaching out to touch and see if something was real or fake. Michaels and those other places don't even compare - that stuff does look fake. But places like Floral & Hearty are different. Now I like having a combo of both in my house, real on my kitchen table but silks in my entry way, dining room, bathroom, etc. I've definitely saved money over time. Good tip!

I have some silk flowers, but I have to agree with Coco. You absolutely can get inexpensive fresh flowers that are very nice.
Also, dried flowers can look nice too. I think it's all good!

I'll have to pass on the silk flower tip. Buying fresh flowers is a nice occassional cheap treat for me and my apartment. Plus I like the variety. Picking out $7 purple irises, skipping home from the market, and setting them up on my table is part of the fun.
$150 can buy me about 20 pick-me-ups.
