It will even be more common in the future as former male-dominated job positions are now majority women. These days, veterinary and pharmacy schools are now dominated by female students which was unheard of half-century ago. Overseas, I saw a friend's nephew graduating medical school class picture; it was practically mostly women grads!

I also recall jokes about women becoming doctors as late as the 1980s!!!

Not surprised. Wasn't it 50+? I see he's upped the salary requirement at a rate that outpaces inflation. While I'm able to earn a pretty decent salary in private industry, the benefits can be so-so. I would love to hook up with a lower co-pay and a pension...er, I mean nice young man. I'm going to look out for the mailman now :-P

Yay for coupon clipper chic! Right, it's not just about how much you earn, but how you manage the money. What's the point of making more if you can't save? Thanks for commenting, Steve!

hahahaha! I never heard that term "60 plus" before. Your friend say he tired of buying all the drinks, huh? As to your question, it depends on what they do with it. I dated a woman who earned more than me, but I always had more money because she spent more than she earned. I'll take a woman who earns 40k and can manage her money over a "60+" who can't every time. Coupon clippers are sexy.
