I'm in... roasting a whole chicken in the crockpot tomorrow. For the first time ever. I just started cooking this month. Yes I know. I'm sure I wasted a pretty penny eating out. Got any good crockpot chicken recipes?

@Natalie H. Yes, what we do most is what we do best. Next will be our bootcamp!
@Jo I'll take healthy and affordable ones. I'm a wok star (in my mind.) Stir fry is always welcome. Thank you!
@Sharlyn: Yes, all hail 5dollardinners.com! And I got my crock pot on my counter. I can't wait to share recipes with you.

I started cooking at home to save money but I must say, I love it. I appreciate eating out a whole lot more now.

I subscribe to several food blogs. One of my favorites is $5 Dollar Dinners (http://www.5dollardinners.com/). I also enjoy making meals in a slow cooker.

I used to cook at home all the time - and would only go out for drinks or dinner 3-4 a month. This is when I realized that I was severely spending too much money on eating out. Now I'm at a job that has a dining hall (boarding school) so I only cook 1-2 times a week to keep my skills up. The best perk is that I can go to the salad bar at the dining hall, bring veggies home and make stir-fry.

What kind of recipes would you like? I'll send some!
