More frugal than the amount of therapy it would take to keep myself going after knowing I signed my own death certificate. I think one of the points about being frugal is getting the most bang for your buck and if I can increase safety and peace of mind, I don't mind dropping the cash for the raincoats. I am aware of my status. The stats don't surprise me and while I don't think condoms are frugal when purchased, it's a lot cheaper than HIV.
