Beyonce shops the sale rack!

I knew it! I knew it! Beyonce is a Frugalista. I had blogged about it before, but now I have cold hard evidence! She was spotted checking out the sale racks recently on a shopping trip. You have no idea the amount of joy that filled my heart, watching B.B. Homemaker shop on sale. It’s how the wealthy keep their money! Smart shopping is all rage.
Also, theroot.com had an article on how much musicians actually earn – $23.40 per $1,000 worth of music sold! Eek! No wonder Beyonce shops on sale! Viva Frugalista!
Do you shop the sale rack? What was your best buy on sale or clearance?

I shop sales for the HUNT! Why pay full price? Ya don’t have to. One of my best finds? I have many because I am patient and shop daily…I got MK shoes on clearance for $28 orig. over $100 while they were still in season.

Only a fool would pay full price for something they could get cheaper. And I don’t think Beyonce’s a fool. There’s no shame in the sales rack. In fact, I shop almost exclusively at the sales rack. A lot of times, it’s a better deal to go to high-end store sales racks than to get low-quality clothes from a discount store that don’t survive but a couple dozen washes. (at least for adults; kids outgrow clothes so fast, quality is less of a factor. Shoes are the one exception. You shouldn’t buy poor quality shoes that hurt children’s feet).

I agree with you both. It can be just as cute on sale as it is full price. Even at the discount stores, I go right to the sales rack. It’s embedded in me!

You’re right…most wealthy people are actually quite frugal and that’s one of the reasons they are wealthy!

I got 2 dress each for $2.93 and 2 cardigans each $8.99 at Ann Taylor Loft. They had an extra 40% off sale.

The Millionaire Next Door is a great read….the wealthiest people do not spend frivolously….The issue is some people think a “deal” is a deal. To me a deal is really only a deal if you 1. Need it, 2. Will wear it and 3. Don’t have to alter it to wear it. Smile…

Look for Divine Consign sales in your state. These are semi-annual consignment sales with top quality brand-name clothing and accessories. I made good money selling my Tahari suits during the sale and was given a 20% coupon (which I didn’t use) to shop for more.

Also, when department stores cannot sell the last remnants of the season, they send it over to Goodwill and other consignment stores to buy for little of nothing.

On Saturdays in Manhattan….I’m all over Madison avenue designer consignment shops! Can I tell you that Michael’s Consignment shop and Encore…are a “high end” Frugalista’s dream!!!! I’m a shoe snob and I’ll say three things, $1200 Louboutins for $125.00, $600.00 Chanel flats for $150.00 and $500 Gucci pumps for $90………I’m fabulous and frugal!!
