Jay-Z and Warren Buffett’s Money Bromance

jayz and warren buffett 150x150 Jay Z and Warren Buffetts Money BromanceSo last night, Jay-Z reopened his 40/40 Nightclub and super billionaire Warren Buffett showed up to the grand opening. I’m starting to think Jay-Z and Warren are having a bromance. Warren’s throwing up The Roc sign in photos. Jay-Z is appearing on Warren’s kiddie cartoon, Secret Millionaires Club. I know Warren is notoriously frugal and I daresay borderline cheap. Warren used a drawer as a bed for his baby! Ack! I hope Jay-Z doesn’t share that with his friend. Anyway, I doubt Beyonce would allow that for her Blue Ivy!

I wouldn’t think naturally that Brooklyn’s Jay-Z and Omaha’s Warren would have much in common. But, they both earn and keep lots of cash. I guess that must count for something!

So, I want to ask: Does your network determine your networth? If you hang with rich people, do they make your richer? Do poor friends make you poorer? Is class status contagious? As my friend, Coco says, “You are who your friends are.” Is that true?

Jay Z is a smart man to have Warren Buffett as a mentor. I don’t think it’s as a strange of a mix as it appears from the outset. I think people at all levels can benefit from surrounding themselves with more successful people and Jay is doing a great job with the POTUS as well.

I stan so hard for Jay(lol) I really appreciate his evolution as a business man and a man. From Marcy to rubbing shoulders with billionaires!

Oh – and I absolutely believe that your network determines your net worth. “If you hang around 9 broke people, you will likely become the 10th!”

I don’t think that your network has a lot to do with your net worth, but it is houw your network thinks about net worth. I have friends that make more money than me and friend that make less money than me and I’m always the “broke” one. I started noticing that it was how I thought about money that made me different from my friends. When I started thinking about money more like them, I started having more money. If your network always think that they are broke or don’t make good desicions about money, then you will be broke and not make good desicions aobut money.
