Gracious! A new survey says that 78 percent of adults would rather gain 10 pounds than take on $10,000 of debt! The Yahoo!Health and Reader’s Digest survey also found that 46 percent of adults would, if given the choice, opt for a 50-pound weight increase instead of gaining debt. The survey asked 2,000 women and men about diet, exercise, and body image behaviors.
This question had me thinking long and hard. I hate weight gain! I’m in the process of de-chubbing right now and it’s NO FUN! Why can we all wake up fit in the morning? Meh! Then again, as a person who fought her way out of debt, I don’t wish debt on anyone. I think this is the world’s most uncomfortable survey question!
I don’t know which is the lesser of the two evils. I guess people feel like it’s easier to eat right and hit the gym or park to get weight off. It’s not so easy put your hands on an extra $10,000. Well, it’s easier if you become a Frugalista!
Let’s take a poll! If you were forced to choose, would you rather gain weight or increase debt?
