The Fuel Rewards Network Program Can Help You Save!

by frugalista on May 6, 2013

Summer time is just around the corner and you may be doing some road tripping and other travel. I know that paying for gas is one of the necessary evils of being a car owner. It’s not fun. My Honda regularly costs me more than $40 to fill up – and Hondas are some of the most fuel efficient cars on the market! There are many other things that I want to do with my money and time than feeding my ride! To help take the pain at the pump away a bit, you may want to check out the Fuel Rewards Network™ program, or FRN™ program, for more affordable gas. Yay! Read below for some 411 on how it works. Also, be sure to read all the way to the bottom because I have a giveaway for you!

Here’s how the Fuel Rewards Network™ program Works

You can pick up the Fuel Rewards Network Card at a Shell gas station. After activating your FRN Card online at, you can start earning Fuel Rewards® savings by making the purchases at the vendors in the program.

Shop Online The card gives you access to almost 700 online merchants offering at least 5 cents per gallon for every $50 you spend.

Dine Out If you link a payment card to the dining program, you’ll earn 10 cents per gallon for every $50 you spend at more than 10,000 restaurants nationwide.

Buy Groceries Depending on your location, you can link to your local participating grocery store’s rewards card to your FRN Account and earn rewards on your grocery store purchases.

Get eCoupons Select eCoupons at and earn Fuel Rewards® savings when the eCoupons items are subsequently purchased at participating grocery and drug stores.

Shop at Shell Depending on your location, you can purchase specially marked products inside the convenience store as well as car washes or auto services at participating Shell stations to earn Fuel Rewards savings through the Fuel Rewards® program.

(All of the above is according to on 5/6/13.)

I think this program is worth a look because if you have to commute for work or live in a place where there isn’t a lot of public transportation, you’re going to be using your car quite a bit. It’s worth it to shave a few bucks at the pump. The savings will add up over time.
