So, my life is a little busy these days. Between freelance writing and picking up a new client, I haven’t had a lot of time to think. I make it a point to preserve the fabulous in my life. All work and no play makes for a very grumpy Natalie. I made plans to meet one of my good friends, a former coworker for drinks this week. She’s super sweet and even recommended this new client to me! Frugalista Tip: Always be good to your coworkers! They can be your friends and bring you good financial fortune! They know your work ethic! :)

Because I knew it would be a long day, I decided to try out Kotex’s Click tampons. I met my friend at a restaurant known for serving organic farm-raised food. As we sipped on our brews at the bar, we got caught up on our careers. I got an appetizer of macaroni and cheese for $6. It was my dinner. Although my friend and I only ordered one drink each, the bartender was awesome enough to give us several samples of different types of beer. He got a nice tip! :)

First the fluff: The packaging is super cute – neon pink and green and a nice periwinkle colors with black graphic designs. Sometimes I have a purse malfunction and a feminine product has been known to be exposed or even fall to the ground. I HATE when that happens. At least the Click tampons look cool so I won’t lose all of my cool if one gets exposed when I’m searching for a pen in the bottom of my purse! If I can have a fashionable, DVF iPhone case, why can’t I have a fashionable tampon? Style knows no boundaries!

Some super-sized tampons worry me a bit. They can be bulky but the U by Kotex was pretty slim. Then, I was a little worried (I’m an overthinker) that it wouldn’t be – ahem – enough. Everything turned out just fine. It’s only 7.8 centimeters long when it’s wrapped, smaller than most tampons that are still in their package. When you stretch out the applicator before using, it makes a cute little “click” noise, which is a nice. It makes me think I’m using an expensive, designer product. A click is a much sexier noise than the sound of cardboard sliding.

The applicator is plastic, so it’s easy to use, but you can’t flush it down the toilet.

In all, the U by Kotex Click is worth a look because it work well and it looks good! :)

Are you a pad or a tampon girl? Both? What’s your favorite brand?
